Engaging in physical activity is good for our bodies and important at every stage of life. Specifically, physical activity strengthens our muscles and keeps our heart strong. For adults, it is recommended to engage in 150 minutes or more a week (30 minutes a day for 5 days a week) of moderate aerobic activity and two days a week of muscle-strengthening movement. Activity should be at least 10 minutes in length and can be spread out during the day.
